The Awakened Shaman: Mastery of the Mind
|
Sue Jamieson, a Shamanic practitioner and an Awakened Mind EEG Biofeedback practitioner, combines ancient techniques of shamanic journeying with modern techniques of EEG brainwave biofeedback.
Brainwaves, beta, alpha, theta, and delta, consist of different frequencies or rates of speed. Within Delta, the slowest frequency, we connect with universal consciousness or the collective unconscious for spiritual insight, intuition, and knowingness. Theta, the next slowest frequency, is the subconscious part of the mind of dreams, insight, and emotional depth. Alpha provides clarity and lucidity during reverie, daydreaming, and imagining. Beta frequencies involve thought processing, analyzing, and conceptualizing. Brainwaves engage in an endless symphony of patterns providing us with myriads of mental experiences. We can learn to access and distinguish states of mind and maximize awareness; thereby, awakening the mind.
Participants will practice guided visualizations designed to access and navigate the various brainwave states and lead to mastery of the mind. Mastery of the mind enhances focus, memory, and awareness. Using mastery of the mind, participants will explore shamanic journeying accompanied by drumming at varying rates of speed to facilitate and experience differences within these trance-journey states, and deepen their shamanic experiences.
EEG biofeedback equipment will be available for demonstration purposes only.

Shamanic Spirit Channeling
|
Channeling is a powerful communication and healing technique when done in the context of a shamanic practice. With protection and guidance from one's helping Spirits, channeling must only be initiated with the intention of working for the greatest and highest good for all concerned.
In this introductory workshop for advanced students of shamanism, participants will learn safe and empowering ways to channel information from the Spirit World. The techniques covered in the class focus on balance and prudence as participants learn to interact with deep discernment in this very physical way with the spiritual energies and entities of Light.
The phenomenon of channeling has gained certain notoriety over the last several decades. Despite this, with the proper training in a safe environment, sufficient inner preparations, and appropriate intentions, good practices can be developed that will empower the practitioner, as well as prevent soul loss and spiraling imbalance that can happen when channeling is undertaken in a cavalier or controlling way.
Prerequisites
1. A strong and easy connection to your Spirit guide(s).
2. The ability to journey to both the Upper and Lower Worlds.
3. A regular practice of journeying.
It is also suggested that you have taken an introductory course in shamanism, but what is most important is an established relationship with your Power Animal and Spirit teacher and an ongoing commitment to and manifestation of that relationship in a regular practice.
With your registration, please include a list of any relevant classes or workshops you have taken, as well as a description of your shamanistic practices.

Nurture the Wild Soul - Shamanism

Each of us has felt that inner yearning, that crying out from the wild soul to “live the dream.” During this experiential workshop participants are introduced to shamanic methods used for wellbeing and healing. Participants are taught the classic shamanic journey to explore the mysteries otherwise known mainly through myth and dream. Shamanic journeying is aided by drumming for accessing a shamanic state of consciousness and for awakening inherent spiritual abilities and knowledge. Participants are provided with methods to discover their own individual spirit teachers, a classic step in shamanic practice. The Way of The Shaman: The Shamanic Journey, Power, and Healing

During this experiential workshop, participants are introduced to core shamanism, the universal and near-universal basic methods of the shaman to enter non-ordinary reality for problem-solving, well-being, and healing. Particular emphasis is put on the classic shamanic journey, one of the most remarkable visionary methods used by mankind to explore the hidden universe otherwise known mainly through myth and dream. This is the basic Workshop of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies and is the prerequisite for all Foundation workshops and training courses.

Shamanic Divination Training

One of the classic tasks of the Shaman is to journey into non-ordinary reality in order to obtain answers to questions, both at the request of others and for oneself. Participants in the workshop will have the opportunity to engage in divination journeys for each other as well as for themselves and to gain experience in using various time tested shamanic divination techniques. In the shamanic search to become persons of knowledge, they will learn, as shamans have from time immemorial, how to converse with plant as well as animal spirits, how to learn about quartz crystals, and how to seek and receive revelatory wisdom from visionary sources.

Participants will be initiated into the extraction method of healing, including how to see, sense and remove localized spiritual illness and pain connected to spiritual factors. This is an important part of shamanic healing training. They will also learn how shamanic practitioners can work in partnership to increase the effectiveness of this work. The Extraction Healing Training workshop is designed exclusively for people who want to bring shamanic healing work into their practice with others. The training is not designed for people looking for personal healing. Before enrolling in this training workshop, please make sure that you have been having success in contacting your power animals and/or teachers on your own and that you feel confident in your journey skills.

Reiki

Reiki is a natural "laying on hands" technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us. If one's life force energy is low, we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
Reiki is a simple and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.
Reiki techniques are being incorporated into the practices and lives of individuals, hospitals, nursing homes, and home health providers all over the world.
Reiki is transferred through an "attunement" enabling the student to tap into an unlimited supply of "life force energy" to improve health and enhance the quality of life.
Reiki is spiritual in nature, but it is not a religion. It is a way of LIFE.
In Reiki I, First Degree Reiki, the participant receives a permanent attunement through four initiations to the Reiki energy. These initiations help adjust the vibratory level of the recipient so that more energy can be channeled through the body level. The history and related background of Reiki is given in First Degree Reiki. The basic hand positions for self-treatment and treatments for others are given. Participants practice developing kinesthetic sensitivity.

Reiki II, Second Degree Reiki, provides the participant with the opportunity to attune to higher levels of the Reiki energy. The initiations attune the student to the symbols or power keys that are used at this level to perform distance healing and a stronger form of mental/emotional healing. The three Second Degree Reiki symbols serve as focus points for the practitioner’s mind, to enable the Reiki energy to be channeled over long distances and to amplify it for mental/emotional healing. Students will learn the practice of The Hui Yin, a technique to rejuvenate themselves and increase personal power and effectiveness when using Reiki II symbols.
